Senior Architecture Project Manager (Science) As part of HDR’s Architecture practice, the Senior Architecture Project Manager (Science) leads multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver spaces that advance community well‑being worldwide—from healing environments and learning spaces to research labs and civic landmarks. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate the work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, from development and initiation to close‑out. Manage all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium‑sized projects with high technical complexity, involving a large project staff. Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently. Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in collaboration with staff and stakeholders. Coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Track financial aspects of projects; coordinate and adjust work effort to keep the project within budget and schedule. Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews. Implement QA/QC procedures. Supervise large project staff and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers. Perform other duties as needed. Due to client contract requirements, only candidates with US citizenship will be considered. This position is subject to a government background check. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. 10 years of related experience. Minimum 5 years of project management experience. Registered Architect. Demonstrated ability to lead a team on projects. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project). Knowledge and experience within the local and regional market. Strong planning and mentoring skills. Commitment to an employee‑owned culture. Preferred Qualifications Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED. Laboratory, R&D, biotech, or science experience. Federal project experience. PMP certification. Preference given to local candidates. The expected compensation range for this position is $156,156.00 – $223,080.00 annually, based on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
