Join HOUNDS TOWN WILMINGTON as a Kennel Attendant in Wilmington, NC, where your passion for animals meets a rewarding career. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our furry guests while providing exceptional care and attention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and attention to dogs in our facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kennel areas and play spaces.
• Feed animals as directed.
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to Shift Lead.
• Assist with grooming and bathing as needed.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
• Engage with Shift Lead to provide updates and answer questions.
• Support team members in daily operations and special events.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in animal care or kennel operations preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various dog breeds.
• Physical stamina to lift and handle animals of different sizes.
• Willingness to train in basic knowledge of animal behavior and health indicators.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Certifications in pet first aid or grooming a plus.
