Nurse Practitioner Float

Nurse PractitionerThis position will be 32-38 hours per week, requires working 3 out of every 6 weekends. Will float between home location at 22135 IH 10 W and 12980 BANDERA RD. Candidates must have prior primary care or urgent care experience. Do not submit candidates who do not meet this requirement. Include screenshot of BLS and license. (BLS from ARC or AHA is required.) All Client positions are safety sensitive. All Client PA submissions must include the completed candidate questionnaire.Position Summary: Client Nurse Practitioners will work in collaboration with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidenced-based care to a panel of patients. The clinical care team will work with the provider daily to drive better outcomes for entire panel of patients. This will include accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning. This role will report to the practice manager.DutiesProvide primary and family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment.Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomesPerform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of careEncourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition managementExperienceA MINIMUM of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in either a family medicine, primary care practice, or urgent care required. Working knowledge and understanding of quality measurement in the management of chronic disease conditions. Self-motivated, prioritizes and solves problems, takes initiative, and advocates for their patients and their practice. Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility. Ability to work remotely in a clinical care team culture. Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously. Is proficient with information management and technology. Willingness to obtain multi-state licensures.EducationMaster's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
