Process Control Engineer
3000 Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC
Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC is responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining semiconductor manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality output, minimize variation, and improve yield and cycle time. Key responsibilities include: Support daily operations and strategic initiatives across front-end and back-end fabs. Drive the development and implementation of process control solutions within the front-end fab process flow. Understand customer requirements for Fault Detection (FD) and pursue value‑added opportunities through improved process control. Develop and implement FD strategies for First‑of‑a‑Kind (FOAK) and Second‑of‑a‑Kind (SOAK) equipment types. Deploy FD models to detect known and potential failure modes before they impact product or equipment. Ensure FD strategies are performing effectively, as measured by established PCS KPIs. Provide engineering support to enhance FD capabilities. Provide operations support to troubleshoot FD issues and defects. Educations and qualifications required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC). Experience with Run‑to‑Run Control (R2R) – automated recipe adjustments using feedback and feedforward loops. Knowledge of Fault Detection (FD) – real‑time monitoring of tool sensor data to detect anomalies. Programming skills in Python, SQL, C++, and VBA for automation and scripting. Understanding of PLC systems, SCADA interfaces, and EDA/IFA protocols for equipment integration. Benefits: Micron offers a selection of medical, dental, and vision plans, income protection programs, paid family leave, a robust paid time‑off program, and paid holidays.
