Job Title Welder Fitter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter. Our team offers flexible scheduling. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, communicating directly with engineering when necessary, and working with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies using pre-cut steel plates Communicate directly with engineering as required Use forklifts and overhead cranes proficiently Operate overhead cranes up to 50‑ton capacity and fork trucks Manually lift 20‑25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally Collaborate with AWS certified welders to complete welding tasks Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments Essential Skills 5 years of blueprint reading experience Experience with 1‑inch plate fitting and welding 5 years of Flux‑Core/MIG welding experience 5 years of fitting experience Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of WATERFORD, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46,000.00 - $60,000.00/yr. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, company uniforms. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in WATERFORD, MI.
