Job Description 4874 6200 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84118, USA Posted Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 8:00 AM | Expires Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 7:59 AM FULL-TIME, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OPENINGS, CLOSINGS, AND GRAVEYARDS $23.63 - $25.13 PER HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness, and product assortment is maintained throughout the store, particularly in the grocery departments. This person will be receiving, stocking, and rotating product, facing product, taking special orders, training new associates, and providing exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures Assists the Grocery Manager with the successful operation of the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items Ensures the store is cleaned daily and meets the company standards for appearance Delivers excellent customer service to all customers Receives, stores, and stocks a wide variety of products for the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments Orders product to meet the needs of the grocery departments based on past and projected sales Pulls out of date product from the shelves Builds end-cap and other special product displays Assists Grocery Manager and Store Director with the successful operation of the store Communicates openly and frequently with Grocery Manager, Store Director, and Sales Directors Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team Assists with quarterly inventory of all store products Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Sets a professional and positive example to others Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Periodic graveyard shift rotations. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities: A high school diploma or GED preferred; five years of grocery or other retail experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Basic math skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Understanding of product rotation Should have a passion for customer service Must obtain Harmons Forklift Certification Ability to interpret policies and procedures Excellent organization and planning skills Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage diverse groups of people Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistent Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to cold, hot, slippery, and wet conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire workday and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
