Sales Consultant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Management reserves the right to make changes as to all job duties. Job description does not indicate contract of employment.

Personal vehicles must be parked only in assigned parking space;

Must attend sales meetings as scheduled;

Must follow Johnson Automotive dress code;

Required to have a pen, business cards, and guest information cards on you at all times;

Must walk the physical inventory every morning after the sales meeting;

All Sales Consultants must follow the Johnson Automotive sales process with each guest (includes meet and greet, vehicle demo, test drive, tour of dealership, etc);

Must T.O. every guest to a Manager before they leave the property;

Sales Consultants are not permitted to quote interest rates to any guest;

Each Sales Consultant must make a minimum of 10 follow up calls per day and must email their daily phone log to their manager before leaving for the day;

Each Sales Consultant must check out with their Manager and the Greeter before leaving the property for any reason (i.e. lunch, off-site delivery, end of shift);

Must put every guest in CRM and update notes with each contact. Must also update notes after every delivery so associates doing follow-up calls for CSI are aware of any issues and if the vehicle purchased is New, CPO or Non-CPO;

Must maintain CSI above District and National Average;

Each Sales Consultant must submit their monthly objective to their manager no later than the 3rd of each month;

Sales Consultants are not permitted to schedule appointments on their day off unless they plan on working that scheduled day off. If a Sales Consultant changes their day off they must communicate that fact with any appointments, they have made. We have seen too many instances where guests arrive at the dealership and their Sales Consultant is not on site or available to assist them. This frustrates our guests especially those that are here to have work done on their vehicle or are here to redeem what is owed on a WE OWE form;

All Sales Consultants are required to punch in/out each work day on the Electronic Time Clock in accordance with Federal/State Wage and Hour Laws;

All Sales Consultants must have a valid and active driver’s license. Any violation causing a change to a Sales Consultant’s Motor Vehicle Report is to be brought to the attention of a Manager – This includes violations that occurred while either on or off the clock. Johnson Automotive reserves the right to check driving records of each and every associate at any time.

Must be able to read and write;

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, continuous physical exertion for intermittent periods including walking and/or standing for long periods of time, vision abilities including close/distance, hearing abilities to safely hear and react to machinery, other vehicles etc.
