The Waldorf School of St. Louis is currently seeking a Grades Assistant for the 2026/27 school year, to assist, supervise, and collaborate with our Lead Teachers in our grades program. The assistant will be guided by our Lead Grade teachers on how to help individual students and the group as a whole. At The Waldorf School of St. Louis, we rethink what is possible in education. The Grades Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in the daily academic and social life of the classroom, helping to maintain structure, rhythm, and a focused learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with lessons, supporting students during academic work and practice activities, supervising recess and transitions, helping maintain classroom organization and aesthetics, and providing individual or small-group support as directed by the Lead Teacher. The assistant models respectful behavior, clear boundaries, and enthusiasm for learning while contributing to a collaborative and professional faculty culture.
