Social Work Intern

Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and committed Social Work intern. The Social Worker Intern for DCCC assists with providing quality case management, community resources for college students and engagement opportunities as needed.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with Counselors and Administrators within Career and Counseling Services.
• Collaborate with DCCC's Students Resource Center.
• Research and establish up to date manual with community resources for students.
• Create and maintain community resource relationships.
• Organize workshops and groups to support students as needed.
• Provide timely follow-up calls and reminders for students as necessary.
• Refer students to campus resources as needed.
• Participate in any necessary professional development training.
• Support the annual Social Service Fair
• Assisted the social work club and administrators with other projects as required.

Experience & Education

The ideal candidate must be:

• Senior year BSW or First year MSW student
• Knowledge of Delaware and Chester Counties and resources
• Must have knowledge working with MS Office programs (I.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Excel.
• Flexibility of hours and may require daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner Must be comfortable working collectively on group projects, workshops, and other assignments
• Must have experience working with MS office suite and hold strong organizational skills.
