This opportunity lets you apply your craftsmanship to fabricate, join, and repair metal components while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations.Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and various industry parts by performing the following duties.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.Experience Requirements3-5 years of welding and fitting experienceExperience working with aluminum, stainless steel, iron, or other alloys preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsStrong understanding of welding symbols and fabrication processesMust pass a welding test and written fabrication examJob DutiesRead work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawingsPlan welding procedures, materials, and tooling requirementsPrepare, clean, and position materials for weldingFit, align, and assemble fabricated, cast, and forged componentsPerform cutting, burning, and welding operations on various metalsMeasure and inspect workpieces to ensure specifications are metUse rulers, squares, measuring tapes, and other precision toolsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all quality and safety standardsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Welder.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.BenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Safety-Focused Manufacturing Environment with opportunities for skill development and career growth."Staffmark has great opportunities" -Geralson, Staffmark AssociateDon't just clock in, build something real.
