Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction A growing heavy civil construction contractor is hiring a Project Manager to bring structure, systems, and consistency to a lean, field‑driven operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, practical problem‑solving, and working directly with ownership in a small leadership team. What You’ll Do Implement and standardize project management software, systems, and processes Manage pre‑construction handoff, contracts, project setup, and schedule Review vendor and subcontractor invoices and prepare owner billings Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders Coordinate with field leadership and visit job sites regularly What We’re Looking For Background in civil / horizontal construction (utilities, retainer walls, bridges, tunnels, paving, earthwork, drainage, concrete, highway, etc.) Experience level flexible (approx. 3–15 years) Comfortable implementing and working within new software systems Strong organization and follow‑through in a low‑support environment Clear, professional communication skills Work Style Remote‑based with a dedicated home office Regular in‑field time visiting job sites and meetings High autonomy, flexible structure, and accountability for results Culture Be nice & do good work. Takes ownership of work from start to finish. Values stability, quality, and respect over titles or ladders. Requirements Local to the Dallas–Fort Worth area Must have experience with civil software such as HCSS, Vitruvi, Procore, or something similar. Be well versed and ready to implement and use.
