Job Title Mechatronics & Robotics Technician About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Create, assign, and close out work orders, tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; maintain department inventory. Mentor junior technicians in their growth and development. Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. Minimum 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Minimum 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience. Minimum 1 year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project with strong document‑management skills. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. Preferred Qualifications Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields. Experience with MHE safety standards according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and general safety standards. Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Perform tasks while wearing appropriate PPE, which may include hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes. Crouch or bend to install/move equipment as required. Move between departments, floors, and properties, averaging 6–12 miles per day. Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. Type on a computer for 1–2 hours per day.
