Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• No current placement allowed at Program: TrioWFS Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 24 months of current Stepdown, Progressive Care, or Med Surg/Medical Surgical experience. - Experience with drips: amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, dobutamine, milrinone. - Equipment experience with chest tubes, JP drain, 3-way Foley, NG.

Special Requests: - Past UnityPoint Health employees who worked as FTE or PRN in the UPH float pool within the past 12 months cannot work travel in another market. This does not apply to prior UPH travel assignments.

Unit Details: - Cares for Med Surg patients and all surgical cases except ortho and spine. - Patient ratios: 1:4/5 (days); 1:5/6 (nights).

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. - Holiday rotation, including 1-2 of 3 summer holidays unless the unit is closed. - Every other weekend. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Float across Med Surg units throughout St. Luke’s Hospital.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
