PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 2ND SHIFT

Job Summary Coordinates and directs the activities of the production department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality. Inspects product to verify production specifications are met and trains and supervises production personnel. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and fair employment practices in the assigned area. Supervise day‑to‑day production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality control standards. Implement short‑term goals for production continuity; create shift schedules, order materials, load machines, resolve grievances, and maintain equipment. Collaborate with other plant functions to support output, productivity, and quality. Schedule, train, and motivate the production labor force; interview and recommend candidates for open positions. Recommend improvements to production flow or methods. Use operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Notify management of machines or equipment that could be modified to improve production and product quality. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands; these may be specified by customers or clients. Qualifications Physical ability to perform all essential duties. High‑school diploma or GED required; college degree in a related field preferred. One or more years of supervisory experience with leadership skills for 20+ employees preferred; poultry or food industry experience is a plus. Effective oral and written communication skills. Independent decision‑making ability and basic computer knowledge. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
