Mammography Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy diagnostic imaging team on a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while providing compassionate patient care and maintaining high imaging quality standards. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend requirements and the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols. Position patients appropriately and operate mammography equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images. Review images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation and image transmission. Provide exceptional patient care, education, and support throughout the imaging process. Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, quality assurance guidelines, and departmental policies. Accurately document procedures and patient information within the electronic medical record system. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and patient care. Perform mammography services for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Ensure equipment functionality and report any operational concerns promptly. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards of practice. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required. ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) certification required. ARRT Mammography (M) certification required. Minimum 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience required. Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammography examinations. Experience working with inpatient and outpatient patient populations. Proficiency in diagnostic mammography, screening mammography, and breast imaging procedures. Strong knowledge of patient positioning, image quality assessment, and radiation safety practices. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); Epic experience preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Previous travel healthcare experience is a plus.
