Are you a passionate and creative individual with a keen interest in sports marketing and social media? The Sherman Shadowcats are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Social Media Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of professional sports, contributing to our digital presence and fan engagement as we build excitement for Season 4.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an engaging offseason content calendar across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
• Create compelling content featuring player updates, alumni spotlights, and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
• Assist in the creation and scheduling of sponsor recognition posts, ensuring partners receive prominent visibility.
• Generate community-focused content, highlighting local initiatives, fan interactions, and team events.
• Produce and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) to increase engagement and reach.
• Support the development and deployment of email marketing campaigns.
• Monitor social media trends, track key performance indicators (engagement rates, follower growth), and provide regular reports.
• Actively contribute to strategies designed to build excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Season 4.
• Assist the marketing team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., graphic design software, video editing apps) is a plus.
• Creative mindset with an eye for compelling visuals and engaging storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports marketing industry.
