Sand Foundry Bench Operator

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Were recruiting Sand Foundry Bench Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Sand Foundry Bench Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sand mixing equipment to produce quality molds in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities of the Sand Foundry Bench Operator:

• Operate sand mixing equipment under general supervision to prepare molds according to job specifications.
• Set up and assemble molds, selecting appropriate patterns and preparing riser sleeves and pouring cups.
• Compact sand in flasks using vibratory equipment and remove cured molds using hand tools or roll-over machinery.
• Apply coatings to mold halves, install cores, and assemble complete molds by hand or with manipulation tools.
• Monitor and replenish resin, catalyst, and sand supplies, and assist with mixer calibration as needed.
• Follow safety procedures rigorously, staying alert to surroundings and adhering to all company safety practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, job cards, and demonstrations.
• Willingness to train on the job; no prior machine operator experience required.
• Comfortable working with hand tools, vibratory equipment, and material handling devices.
• Capable of wearing and working in steel-toed boots and other required PPE.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment with sand and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Pay for Sand Foundry Bench Operator: Starting at $19.50/hour.

Schedule: Monday Sunday from 6:00am 2:30pm. Could work 10 and 12 hour shifts.
