AtlantiCare is seeking 1 Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP with RNFA certification or PA) to support Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high acuity, hospital based role providing 12 hour shifts with an immediate start through October.

Position Details

Location: AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City, NJ
Setting: Hospital-Based Trauma & Acute Care Surgery
Trauma Level: Level II
Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
Reason for Need: Temporary coverage while recruiting a permanent provider
License Requirement: Active NJ license required (cannot accept candidates needing a new state license)
EMR: Cerner

Schedule

12-hour shifts:
- 7 AM 7 PM
- 7 PM 7 AM
Coverage includes:
- Trauma alerts
- Inpatient care
- OR support
- Daily rounding
Nights & weekends may be included depending on schedule
No formal call, though shift coverage may vary

️ Required Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

Providers must be experienced and capable in:

Trauma & Acute Care

Trauma alerts and surgical consults
Admitting, rounding, and assisting in OR
Facilitating discharges
Managing ER admissions
Responding to:
- House Codes
- Rapid Response

Procedures

Ventilation management
Chest tube insertion
Central line insertion
Arterial line insertion
PICC line insertion
Minor laceration suturing
BiPAP/CPAP management

️ Supervision & Team Structure

Supervising trauma surgeon on-site 24/7
APP will not work autonomously
Collaborative, team-based trauma environment
