Description: Hiring process: Profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager. Clinicians must remain in-state for the duration of the orientation week. Agency must provide a traveler rad badge. There is one GE 1.5T scanner in the department. No floating or covering other areas is required. Typical MRI tech responsibilities include performing various MRI procedures. Average number of scans performed is approximately 30 in a 24-hour period. They utilize Epic and Synapse PACS for electronic medical records. Department-specific equipment includes GE MRI machines. Radiology supervisor or lead technician is responsible for oversight. Radiologist support is available both in-house and online. Starting IVs is a required task in this department. Scheduling typically consists of three 12-hour shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Weekend and holiday commitments are expected. There is a call or standby requirement, typically one night per week and one weekend per month. The dress code includes black pants and a royal blue top. Department-specific orientation is included. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts for assignments lasting 13 weeks, while shorter assignments may incur different cancellation policies. The charting system used is Epic. The position does not require a BSN. This role is set in an acute care environment.
