Audit Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of middle-market clients. This role focuses primarily on Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics, and Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) engagements while offering exposure to additional industries. The ideal candidate is a strong client advisor, technical leader, and mentor with public accounting experience. Key Responsibilities Lead audit, assurance, and accounting engagements from planning through completion. Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations, timelines, and deliverables. Review workpapers and financial statements while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and applicable professional standards . Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters, including cost accounting and ERISA/DOL compliance for Employee Benefit Plan engagements. Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while managing multiple concurrent engagements, budgets, and profitability. Build and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication. Support business development initiatives through networking, proposals, and industry involvement. Stay current on accounting, auditing, and industry developments through continuing professional education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred). Active CPA license required. 6+ years of recent public accounting audit experience. Prior experience supervising engagement teams. Experience serving clients in one or more of the following industries: Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Distribution & Logistics Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and ERISA/DOL requirements . Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Hybrid work environment with flexible scheduling.
