Position: Process Automation Technician - PHWP We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time Process Automation Technician to join our Timken - Professional Experience Program. This role is crucial in assisting with the developing, delivering, and enhancing technical process that support the organization's goals. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with department managers, engineers, analysts, coordinators, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to gather opportunities. Analyze routine administrative tasks and identify automation opportunities; provide business cases, cost impact, and priority rankings. Design, develop, test, and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g. Python), . Build utilities to extract, transform, and load data from spreadsheets, CSVs, and internal systems. Create simple user interfaces, command-line tools, and scheduled jobs Document code, produce user guides, and write clear instructions for non-technical users. Follow data privacy and security best practices. Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot automation issues. Qualifications and Skills: Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school (undergraduate or relevant post-secondary programs) Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. Ability to commit to the program schedule and comply with safety and confidentiality requirements. Proven experience in technical training, instructional design, or a related field. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
