Job Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory within an acute care hospital, which is a Level I trauma center. The RN will support diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult patients, including left heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery monitoring, and procedural sedation, helping to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12 days shifts (06:30 AM 07:00 PM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, active Illinois RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and proficiency with Cerner charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience with procedures such as Diagnostic Catheterizations, Adult Left Heart Catheterizations, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and Procedural Sedation administration.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• On-Call and Float: On-call is required as needed. Will float within scope to meet facility needs if necessary.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, and executing complex cardiac procedures. This position requires effective communication skills, flexibility with schedule requests (discussed with management), and compliance with facility protocols.

• Orientation: 36 hours of orientation, including virtual at-home modules completed on the first day, with strict adherence to module deadlines.
