Director of Nursing – Skilled Nursing Facility near Athens, TN

A skilled nursing facility near the Athens area is seeking an experienced and compassionate  Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team in resident-centered care. This leadership role is ideal for a confident, organized, and strategic nurse leader ready to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all aspects of clinical care delivery and nursing operations

• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and resident satisfaction

• Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations

• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including infection control and safety protocols

• Monitor quality assurance programs and initiate improvements as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Current RN license in good standing (state of Tennessee)

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting

• Strong communication and team-building skills

• Ability to foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement
