Leasing Consultant
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming experience for current and prospective residents. The ideal candidate has a strong sales background and experience with Yardi (preferred).
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and qualify prospective residents (in-person and by phone)
- Conduct community tours and demonstrate apartment homes using product knowledge and closing techniques
- Process applications and secure deposits in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing guidelines
- Record all traffic and maintain accurate guest cards and reports
- Follow up with prospects to close sales and refer to sister communities when appropriate
- Monitor advertising effectiveness and track local market competition
- Process resident service requests and ensure timely follow-up
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Complete assigned tasks and projects within deadlines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of leasing, sales, or related experience
- Yardi experience preferred
- Leasing 101 certification required within first 3 months
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication, sales, and closing skills
- Professional phone and in-person etiquette
- Positive, solution-oriented, and resident-focused mindset
- Basic computer proficiency
