Substitute Custodian South Canaan, PA - Western Wayne School District, Wayne County Substitute custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities, ensuring every school day runs smoothly and students can focus on learning. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment. Responsibilities Perform maintenance duties before, during, and after school hours Clean all areas of school buildings according to district standards, including floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate areas of the building Complete grounds keeping duties Qualifications High School Diploma or GED PA Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification – Act 24 PA State Police Criminal History Clearance – Act 34 Federal Criminal History Clearance – Act 114 Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training – Act 126 Child Abuse Clearance – Act 151 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release – Act 168 Tuberculosis Test/Physical ESS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
