• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 - $7,280
• Start Date: May 26, 2026
• End Date: June 1, 2027
• Duration: 53 weeks (long-term locum tenens assignment)
• Shifts: 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day (depending on patient volumes)
• Patient Volume: 12-15 patients per shift (outpatient hematology/oncology clinic)
• Call: Beeper only for established patients; very light (2-5 calls per week, phone only)
• Lodging: Apartment available
• Nearest Airports: GSO / RDU (drive-in preferred)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology; prior locum tenens or outpatient oncology experience preferred
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
• Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology (3 years preferred)
• Active and unrestricted medical license (state of practice) - ability to obtain VA license preferred
• Certifications required: ABLS, ACLS, BLS
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Willingness to commit to a long-term locum assignment (53 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care, including evaluation, treatment planning, follow-up, and survivorship care
• Manage a patient load of 12-15 encounters per shift in a busy oncology clinic
• Participate in beeper call coverage for established patients (phone only, light volume)
• Collaborate with three established permanent providers and multidisciplinary teams including nursing, infusion staff, and support services
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinical environment focused on quality and patient satisfaction
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with clinical protocols
