We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Neurosurgeon to join our organization at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County . This facility is home to a prestigious Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, catering to the healthcare needs of 2.6 million residents across Brooklyn and Staten Island.

As a Neurosurgeon, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive medical care, including on-site support in the Operating Room, Emergency Room, Patient Wards, and Clinic.
• Focusing on quality and outcomes while providing direct patient care.
• Supervising, mentoring, and guiding the neurosurgical team and staff.
• Participating in weekly staff meetings, including Grand Rounds, Quality Assurance sessions, M&M conferences, and other departmental gatherings.
• Ensuring the prompt and accurate completion of Medical Records, Operative Dictation Reports, and Quality Improvement documentation.
• Contributing to the maintenance of high-performance standards for physicians and other professionals within the service.
• Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Chief of Service.
• Attending Director of Service meetings, Critical Care discussions, and other relevant departmental meetings.
• Providing coverage for the Neurosurgery Clinic as needed.
• Overseeing and managing all research initiatives within the department.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Neurosurgery from the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).
• A current and unrestricted Medical License in New York State.
• Completion of an Interventional Neuroradiology (Neuro IR) fellowship.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

• Annual Base Salary: $437,000*, based on a 40-hour work week, with additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• The estimated total annual compensation package is approximately $538,000**, which encompasses the base salary, 401(k) contributions, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $65,000.
• 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year of service, an additional 7% contribution is provided, also with no employee match required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
• Comprehensive Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you, with additional voluntary coverage options available.
• Loan Forgiveness opportunities may be available through certain state or federal programs.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage provided at no cost to the employee.
• Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent care.
• Pre-tax contributions for commuting expenses.
• Visa sponsorship may be considered for this role.
