Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Implement personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills, language comprehension, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and medical providers, uniting efforts for comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional standards.
Commit to professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in applying evidence-based methods for treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all ages.
Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and various healthcare professionals.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques according to individual cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
Competence in using electronic medical record systems and adhering to documentation protocols.
Attractive salary reflective of experience and qualifications.
Flexible scheduling for a harmonious work-life balance with a diverse patient load.
Options to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages.
Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collegial environment focused on high-quality care and lifelong learning.
In this position, you won't just deliver therapy; you'll immerse yourself in a collaborative mission aimed at enhancing lives and fostering emotional connections through the art of communication.
