License: Valid state RN license required.

Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN preferred.

Must-Have:

• EPIC experience required.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management skills required.
• Candidates must float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
• Hard stop for pass - acute care experience must be current and must have been working consistently in the last 12 months.

Description: The position involves working in a mixed acuity unit providing care to PCU and MS patients. Candidates may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both based on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed. Candidates will provide care to adults and geriatric patients, with a daily census of 32. The unit houses 36 beds and includes interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors. Special procedures include tracheostomy care, drain management, and a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols. Candidates must be proficient in the management of dysrhythmias and have experience in administering chemotherapy. This role requires the administration of BiPAP/CPAP and the use of specialized equipment. Travelers must comply with strict credentialing processes and possess two professional references, including one from a manager or supervisor. Former employees are eligible for travel assignments after being away from the facility for six months or more. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
