Position Engineer Class I – Reports to Engineer Supervisor, Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering. Responsibilities Supervise and perform administrative duties, basic duties of Class III Engineer, and special skills of Class I and II Engineer Professional HVAC Technician duties Building maintenance staff duties Handyman with wall painting, repair, plumbing, and electrical operation knowledge Assist Director of Engineering in supervising staff: interview, hire, train, schedule, prepare payroll, coach, counsel, and recommend performance evaluations and discipline Assign work orders, monitor progress and results Monitor, control, and report on energy conservation programs Responsible for all life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters, emergency lighting, and generating systems Maintain motors and control circuits Arrange proper trash removal and recycling Purchase equipment and supplies Maintain audio systems within the hotel Perform duties of a Class II or III Engineer as needed Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments Qualifications High school education or equivalent experience One to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations Working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services, policies and operations, usually learned on the job Effective communication of hotel services to management, staff and guests Benefits Competitive salary; daily pay Team member hotel discount program Uniforms provided for most positions Health, dental, vision, life insurance, and supplemental options Paid PTO 401k with employer match Team member awards and recognition programs Food and beverage discounts Tuition reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr
