The custodian assists the maintenance supervisor by performing assigned maintenance duties.

All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Regularly sweeps, mops, dust, and vacuums residential units, administration offices, hallways, stairs, offices, and restrooms. This includes conference rooms and break rooms.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks; mows lawns, trims hedges, remove weeds, rakes, and disposes of leaves, etc.
• Performs minor and routine painting and other needed maintenance.
• Helps in remodeling all facilities.
• Notify the supervisor of needed repairs/replacements to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Coordinates with supervisor supply ordering and restocking.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education :

High School diploma or GED required.

Experience :

Prefer one year's experience providing custodial and maintenance services.

Other :

Valid driver's license and insurability.

Basic computer skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Must be able to lift and operate various custodial and maintenance equipment.

Must reach, bend, stoop, push shovels, stand on ladders, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed indoors and outside. Approximately 25% of duties are done outdoors.

Must have the ability to travel to outlying areas as needed.
