About the Position

Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital OR License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital OR experience - Spine and joint experience Description: Travel position for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The unit focuses on spine and total joint procedures. The facility has 3 ORs dedicated to spine and joint surgery. It accommodates 9 beds for spine and joint cases and 4 for a specialized hip preservation center. Staffing includes daytime personnel such as a Charge RN and a Unit Secretary. Typically 8-11 rooms staffed during weekdays. Weekend calls are assigned with no overnight requirements. Currently, the unit employs around 60 staff members. The ratio of care is not applicable. The unit utilizes Meditech as the electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed include spine fusions, ALIFS, and total joint replacements. Flexibility and effective communication with staff and providers are essential traits for candidates. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. Preference goes to those with joint scrub experience and prior Meditech experience. The unit maintains a 30-minute response time for on-call situations.
