Distribution Operations Coordinator

We anticipate the need for one or more Distribution Operations Coordinator to be located at the Marshall Operations Center in Minneapolis, MN. The starting rate of pay for this position is $34.03 hourly.

Position Summary

Responsible for the scheduling, coordination and writing of switching procedures for electric distribution outages. This position provides support to the Distribution Control Centers, the construction and maintenance departments with Xcel Energy. Also supports external customers with the planning, coordination and preparation of outages to the electric delivery system.

Job Responsibilities

• Operator scheduling
• Coordinate the execution and documentation of work
• Request WO#
• Outage call campaign
• Submit mapping corrections

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two-year technical degree in electricity or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have working knowledge of all distribution construction, maintenance, and operating phases
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and revise distribution maps, substation, and customer Switchgear diagrams
• Ability to successfully work with customers on a wide range of concerns
• Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience as a Troubleman, Lineman and/or first responder is desired
• Demonstrated commitment to work productively and safely

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $34.03 to $40.40 per hour.
