Associate Accountant

Job Description Summary Performs professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. Requires an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles and bookkeeping experience. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, bank account reconciliation. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze data using established finance systems and protocols. Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats. Extract and combine data to generate standard reports. Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and best financial practices. Skills Create reports for various audiences in a lucid and effective manner, keeping in mind the purpose of reports. Understand numerical concepts and perform mathematical operations to analyze reports. Estimate, allocate, and control costs to manage financial resources effectively. Interpret and apply knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies in the area of expertise. Education Bachelor’s degree in progress (preferred) Bachelor’s degrees: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance Experience General accounting experience: 4–6 months Certifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Travel Less than 25% Workstyle Hybrid Benefits Compensation includes base salary, potential bonuses, commissions, or equity.
