Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Acute Care

Occupational Therapist Occupational Therapy Requirements: Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Prior skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills Roles & Responsibilities: Evaluate residents' functional abilities, including activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and psychosocial factors. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and physician orders. Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. Monitor and document resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet goals. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to promote safety and independence. Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed.
