Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN specialized in Oncology to provide outpatient infusion therapy services at a busy outpatient clinic. The position offers a 16-week assignment, requiring immediate start, with an emphasis on chemotherapy and biotherapy administration expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments accurately within a clinical outpatient setting.
• Assess patient conditions and respond to adverse reactions or complications promptly.
• Document patient care and treatment details in the electronic medical record system in compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and infection control procedures during all patient interactions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and post-therapy care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient infusion or oncology setting.
• Certification in chemotherapy and biotherapy administration is required.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Demonstrate reliability with dependable transportation; personal or rental vehicle recommended.
• Knowledge of latest infusion protocols and safety procedures for oncology patients.
