Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Day Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Day Shift) in Norwich, New York.

Location: Norwich, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, 36 hours a week, with every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to optimize health outcomes and alleviate suffering. The RN will also engage in patient and family education regarding health promotion and disease management, and advocate for patients' needs and rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with United Health Services policy.
• Participate actively in unit management, supporting productivity and resource utilization.
• Comply with nursing practice standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and continue education initiatives.
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

Required Experience

• Six months to three years of RN experience.
• Two or more years of critical care/ICU experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current NYS RN License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Unit-specific requirements must be validated prior to submission.
