Inventory Control Clerk

Position Summary
Responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining manufacturing inventory records, including material quantities, item locations, receipts, transfers, and usage. This position works closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure inventory information is accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain inventory data in ERP, inventory management, or manufacturing systems.
• Track quantities of raw materials, components, finished goods, and supplies.
• Record and update the physical location of inventory within warehouses and production areas.
• Process inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, and issues accurately.
• Verify inventory counts and investigate discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.
• Maintain accurate item numbers, descriptions, quantities, lot numbers, and storage locations.
• Generate inventory reports and provide data to production, purchasing, and management teams.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies or data errors to the appropriate department.
• Follow established procedures for data entry, inventory control, and documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate records while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in data entry, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and warehouse personnel.
• Ability to handle repetitive data-entry tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
