Maintenance Millwright

The purpose of this position is to perform preventative maintenance, install machinery and equipment in industrial establishment. Key Responsibilities: Start up boiler, blow down once daily, and check press and water levels.Change all charts on temperature and humidity controls. Check oil in air compressor. Repair air compressor, such as replacing bad valves, gaskets, governors. Read gas meters, water meters, calibrate temperature controls, such as bearings, shaft, etc. Pull motors, change and repair valves, gaskets, worn out parts, etc. Repair fans on roof, replace bearings, belt, worn parts, etc. Repair pumps and gear boxes. Performs Inspections. Clean up work area daily. Operate fork lift to load and unload equipment. Fill out work orders, material requisitions and get signatures to authorize purchases. Perform carpenter duties as needed. Use drills, saws, grinders, pipe wrenches, threading machines. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. Replace lights, fuses. Perform general electrical work, change solenoids, run water, air piping, etc. Comply with Environmental, Quality, Health, Safety & 5S objectives, polices & programs, and relevant procedures. Performs other position-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from college or technical school; 6 to 12 months of related experience and/or training; or, Equivalent combination of education and experience. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
