About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

This position is with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Associate Chief of Staff, G-4 Intel Materiel Activity Distribution Division located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Help

• Develop logistics support programs for Intelligence and Security Command.
• Assess application of DoD logistics policy as it impacts logistics support of the intelligence mission.
• Interpret policy to execute unique, complex support challenges.
• Research trends and patterns using experimental theories/concepts to develop complex, unique programs to resolve problems and issues.
• Evaluate force modernization initiatives to assess impact on logistics support requirements.
• Lead long and short range planning ensuring resource adequacy for logistics programs.
• Provide technical guidance for force structure initiatives to a multifunctional teams.
• Coordinate logistics requirements across functional areas.
• Manage multiple concurrent logistics projects ensuring compliance with federal regulations, agency policies and organizational objectives.

• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Evaluating and analyzing logistics requirements across one or more functional areas, including supply, maintenance, transportation, and services, to support deployment, sustainment, and redeployment/reconstitution operations; Conducting manpower and equipment analysis and validation; Utilizing personnel systems such as GFEBS, DTS, AATAPS, AUTONOA, and DCPDS; and Developing and implementing effective logistics programs that maximize the readiness and capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
