Location : Chico, California

EHR : Next Gen

\n

Volume : 2 visits per hour, with bonus opportunity for exceeding

\n

Schedule : Five 8 hour days, no weekends or evenings

\n

About the Role

\n

\n

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering primary care services, examining patients, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Assess and examine patients to determine health status and diagnose conditions
\n
• Document patient care and communicate effectively in the EMR
\n
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings
\n
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
\n
• Perform procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care
\n
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices
\n
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
\n
• Refer patients to specialists or community resources when appropriate
\n
• Collaborate with supervising physicians per standardized procedures
\n
• Maintain compliance with scope of practice, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
\n
• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and organizational initiatives
\n
• Supervise and support clinical staff, students, and interns as needed
\n
• Maintain licensure, continuing education, and professional competency
\n
• Provide emergency care and perform related duties as required
\n
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Active unrestricted CA FNP or PA License, DEA and BLS
\n
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with staff and providers at other medical facilities.
\n

\n

\n

Preferred Skills

\n

\n
• 2 years previous experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
\n
