Key Responsibilities Facilitate the growth of effective parenting techniques among caregivers by prioritizing communication that considers family values, addressing specific concerns, and promoting emotional wellness in children through constructive feedback. Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities for complex mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and the psychological challenges associated with terminal illnesses. Provide specialized consultations to healthcare professionals and allied members of the hospice team, integrating psychological insights into treatment plans that advance compassionate patient care. Maintain rigorous and accurate medical documentation that complies with regulatory guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work primarily with families coping with terminal illnesses, enabling them to navigate the emotional complexities of end-of-life care. This includes providing support to both patients and their loved ones, facilitating grief counseling, and delivering psycho-educational resources tailored to unique familial dynamics and cultural contexts. Your work will enhance the overall quality of life for patients while supporting caregivers through challenging negotiations of grief and care. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), licensed independently in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). A minimum of two years of practical experience in mental health care, preferably in settings that require compassionate, person-centered approaches to treatment. Experience with diverse populations and a commitment to learning about culturally sensitive approaches to care for families facing serious health challenges. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in managing varied and potentially challenging patient needs.
