Data AnalystUnder direction, interprets data to help organizations make informed decisions. Collects, processes, analyzes, and presents data in a concise format or presentation. Conducts research, analyzes complex statistical data, develops planning timetables, evaluates systems policies and procedures, and makes recommendations to achieve goals and objectives. Houston St., San Antonio, TX (78205) Work Schedule 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - FridayEssential Job FunctionsCollects, cleans, and analyzes data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.Performs data analysis to help identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.Applies statistical methods and data modeling techniques to interpret data and make predictions.Compiles and cleans databases and data collection systems for optimal data quality and efficiency.Designs reporting dashboards to translate data to an understandable illustrative format to non-technical audiences.Performs basic and advanced statistical analyses with quantitative and qualitative data.Leads collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver relevant data-driven solutions.Ensures data privacy and security compliance in all data handling and processing activities.Stays updated with the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends for continuous improvement.Researches technical issues and provides solutions; makes technological recommendations for improvements.May assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.Uses findings to make data-driven recommendations for practices, programming, and policies.Prepares and completes ad-hoc reporting requests, summaries, and presentations.Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.Two (2) years of experience in a relevant field, including but not limited to data analysis or statistical modeling.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel.Proficiency in data collection, visualization, and data managementExperience supporting executive-level leadership using strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations.Experience coordinating high-priority or time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and anticipate needs.Experience collaborating across departments or with external partners/stakeholders.Applicant InformationUnless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months.
