Radiology Technologist - VIR Lab - Part-Time

Job Details Location: Newark Main Campus Schedule / Hours 7am-5:30pm – 40 hours bi‑weekly On‑call 1 day a week and every 4th or 5th weekend Must be able to get to facility within 30 minutes for on‑call Responsibilities Technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures including arteriograms, embolizations, drain insertions, and other related procedures. Ensure compliance with safety standards, departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and Joint Commission regulations. Operate imaging equipment according to established guidelines and protocols. Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary. Perform quality assurance checks on equipment. Demonstrate working knowledge of hospital information systems. Assist with supply inventory management. Assist in departmental performance improvement assessments and initiatives. Serve as a technical resource to the procedural team in support of the physician. Communicate effectively and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Participate as a team member during procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient care. Comply with Christiana Care and departmental policies and procedures. Perform duties of a scrub assistant, including controlling and manipulating guide wires, balloon catheters, and maintaining a sterile field. Education and Experience Requirements Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology. Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred. Current A.R.R.T. registration. Current RTR licensure with the State of Delaware. Interventional Skill Not required; on‑the‑job training will be provided. Must have up‑to‑date A.R.R.T. registration.
