About Reservoir Reservoir builds the intelligence layer for hospitality. Our mission is to help operators understand their customers and turn that understanding into better service and business decisions. We connect fragmented hotel data into a unified view of guest journeys and operations, then apply machine learning and AI to it, with secure data processing at the core. Many of the problems we work on don’t have standard solutions yet. We’re an early-stage team that combines product development, engineering and applied research. Each of us owns problems end to end, from defining them to measuring the results in production. The role You’ll design and build the platform Reservoir runs on: the cloud infrastructure, the multi-tenant backend, integrations with the systems hotels already use and the infrastructure for training and inference. You’ll work with the applied scientists, turn open goals into requirements and make the architecture calls. Each customer’s data and workloads stay isolated and protected, down to the logs. Integrations handle validation, schema changes and failures without manual repair, and environments are defined as code and deployed automatically. Who you are You’ve designed cloud architecture and built the backend and data systems that run on it, and you understand how models behave in production. You’re strong in distributed systems, concurrency, data modeling and testing. You work independently, trace failures to their root cause and choose solutions the team can maintain. Depth in some of these areas matters more than coverage of all of them. What success looks like The team builds on the platform without worrying about it. Customer data stays isolated, new hotel systems connect without rework, models reach production without custom setup and failures are visible and recoverable. Measurements guide improvements to performance, reliability and cost.
