This role is ideal for a security professional with strong experience in personnel security administration, SCI/SAP processes, and government security systems such as DISS and Scattered Castles.If you have a strong understanding of DoW/IC personnel security requirements, enjoy working in a fast-paced classified environment, and take pride in accuracy, compliance, and mission support, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesAs a Personnel Security Specialist, you will:Administer personnel security programs in support of DoW and industrial security requirements, ensuring compliance with government and company policies and proceduresTrack and maintain personnel security data, including clearance status, SAP access, security training records, personnel information files (PIFs), visit authorization requests/certificationsSupport government security teams with Program Access Request (PAR) processing, SCI nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, related personnel security actionsReview, process, and track PAR packages and other personnel security actions for completeness, accuracy, and complianceMake initial eligibility determinations using DISS, Scattered Castles, and other personnel security tools, and provide recommendations supporting government access decisionsMaintain accurate personnel security records, questionnaires, PIAs, debrief documentation, and other access-related files in accordance with customer and regulatory requirementsConduct annual personnel security reviews and support corrective actions to maintain complianceDevelop, update, and maintain Personnel Security SOPs and related process documentationProvide personnel security guidance, onboarding/orientation support, refresher training, and briefings to employees, managers, and program personnelServe as a liaison with DoW, IC, and customer security offices on personnel security mattersManage access rosters, prepare reports for government leadership, and support reporting related to adverse information, foreign travel, continuous evaluation requirementsResolve personnel security issues, discrepancies, and administrative actions in a timely and professional mannerQualificationsHigh school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred5+ years of relevant DoW or Intelligence Community security experience, with a strong focus on personnel securityHands-on experience with PAR processing, SCI nomination packages, indoctrinations and debriefings, personnel security record maintenanceKnowledge of DoW, DoN, and/or IC SCI and SAP personnel security processesExperience using DISS, Scattered Castles, and other government personnel security systems/databasesActive Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-throughStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePointPay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $105,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
