Production Supervisor - 3rd shift - 10pm-6:30am

Overview As a Production Supervisor in our food manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production personnel to ensure efficient operation and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity, managing resources effectively, and fostering a positive working environment. Responsibilities Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to ensure high levels of performance and morale. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring workload distribution is equitable and efficient. Provide guidance and support to resolve any issues or conflicts within the team. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and quality standards. Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance, quality control, and logistics to optimize production flow. Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Assist in scheduling production activities and allocate resources (including manpower, equipment, and materials) efficiently to meet production targets. Identify opportunities for improvement in production efficiency and cost reduction. Conduct regular inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Address any deviations from quality standards promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with the quality control team to implement and maintain quality management systems. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production volumes, downtime, and quality metrics in the production reporting system (Redzone). Prepare reports on production performance, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Communicate production status and issues to management in a timely manner. Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in food manufacturing or similar industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient use of computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams. Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations in the food industry. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual language skills considered a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees or a work unit. Providing input on hiring, discipline, and work objectives; realigning work as needed. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, darkness and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements including extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity. Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards. Requires ability to sit frequently at a desk, walk around the office and plant, carry packages up to 50 pounds, use fine dexterity, and reach and kneel on a daily basis. Salary & Benefits Salary range for this role: $62,886.00 - $109,104.00 (actual compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location).
