Traveling Welder/FabricatorLocation: Fargo, NDShift: Monday through Saturday | 3:00 PM - 12:00 AMPer Diem: $150/day (7 days per week)Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Traveling Welders/Fabricators to join a custom metal fabrication facility in Fargo, ND. This is not a production welding role. The ideal candidate will be a true combo welder/fabricator who can read blueprints, lay out material, fit assemblies together, and complete quality welds with minimal supervision.The majority of the work involves carbon steel fabrication, with occasional stainless steel projects. Candidates must be comfortable taking a blueprint, planning the layout, fitting material, and performing Pulse MIG welding throughout the fabrication process.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret fabrication blueprints and drawingsLay out material according to specifications and dimensions shown on printsFit, tack, and assemble fabricated components prior to weldingPerform Pulse MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel materialsSet welding machine parameters based on material type and thicknessFabricate and weld custom metal assemblies to blueprint specificationsUse measuring tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standardsInspect completed work for accuracy and weld qualityMaintain a safe and organized work areaQualificationsPrevious welding and fabrication experience requiredStrong blueprint reading skillsExperience laying out and fitting material from printsPulse MIG welding experience preferredCarbon steel welding experience requiredStainless steel welding experience preferredAbility to work independently with minimal directionStrong understanding of fabrication processes and measurement techniquesAbility to accurately use tape measures, squares, and other layout toolsWeld Test / Skills AssessmentCandidates must successfully complete a hands-on weld and fabrication test that includes:Welding TestPulse MIG welding using.045 wirePrimarily flat and downhill welding positionsCandidate must independently set machine parameters based on material requirementsWelds will be visually inspected for quality and consistencyFabrication TestCandidate will be provided a blueprintMust lay out material according to print specificationsMeasure, fit, and prepare material accuratelyDemonstrate the ability to interpret drawings and fabricate components based on provided dimensionsWhat We're Looking ForThis position is best suited for a welder who can also fabricate. We need someone who understands the entire process, from reading the print and laying out material to fitting, welding, and completing the final assembly. Candidates who have only production welding experience and limited fabrication exposure may not be the best fit.Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 3:00 PM-12:00 AMPer Diem: $150/day paid 7 days per weekJob Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Marinette, WI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
