Summary About the Position: This position serves as an Operations Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance. Responsibilities Manage and integrate operational initiatives with representatives of other USASAC staff elements. Provides continuous analysis of current military operations by reviewing documents and briefings. Oversee the planning, direction, and execution of recurring and special operational reports. Plan, coordinate, and oversee office support functions. Formulate command guidance on preparation for and execution of command operational requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing and integrating operational initiatives in support of complex military operations and security assistance programs; 2) Producing recommendations and operational decisions to support mission requirements; AND 3) Delivering briefs on new policy development and implementation of command operational requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
