• Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), 18:00-6:30

Job Summary

This is a NICU Level III travel nursing position at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, serving a unit with approximately 190 births per month. The traveler may be required to float to the Mother-Baby unit for babies (and may float fully if couplet care experience is present). On-call is not required for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU serving approximately 190 births per month
• Float to the Mother-Baby (MB) unit for babies as needed; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
• Work every-other weekend, with the possibility of exceeding every-other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Adhere to all scheduling policies - scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• Submit all RTO (Requested Time Off) at time of submission; approval is based on facility needs

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in NICU specialty required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to Mother-Baby unit; full float eligibility with couplet care experience

Education Requirements

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required
• Active RN License required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of NICU specialty experience required
• First-time travelers accepted: No

• Unit: NICU Level III - approximately 190 births per month
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 Hours (18:00-6:30)
• Weekends: Every other, may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs
• On-Call: Not required
• Float: May float to Mother-Baby unit for babies; full float with couplet care experience
• Block Schedule: Not available
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility is permitted to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (RNs); L&D/OR scrubs provided
• Charting: Epic
• Parking: Free
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required

• Orientation: All orientation hours are billable for preferred profiles
